Anders stepped onto the retractable, honeycomb-patterned boarding bridge, faint vibrations under his boots hinting at the immense activity in the Transport Tunnel Operations facility. The transport shuttle loomed ahead, its sleek half-moon shape glowing under the harsh lighting. Even among the monumental scale of the operations around him, the shuttle was a sight to behold.

The facility buzzed with purpose. Elevated rails crisscrossed the air, guiding massive transports into position. Ground crews maneuvered electric vehicles, pallets of supplies, and crates—some of which held livestock pens. Anders paused, eyeing the sheep being carefully loaded into the shuttle’s cargo hold.
“Fresh meat,” a woman behind him said with a smile. “Along with chickens and goats. We even have cattle down there. Much better than processed if you’re down there long enough.” Anders nodded, appreciating the practicality. Everything about Chaosmos’ operation so far had been a testament to precision and planning, and he respected that.
“Good thing I’m vegan,” Todd announced. “You don’t know what you’re missing, pal. A good New York Strip, a Mountain Man burger, stuffed chicken breast. Hell, chicken tenders,” Anders ruminated. “I’d bet you’d love chicken nuggets. The dinosaur shaped ones that is,” Anders chuckled.
As he approached the shuttle’s top entrance, a crewman greeted him. “Welcome aboard, sir! Pick any seat you like. Need help with your packs?” The crewman was a young man wearing a striking red flight suit. A US flag patch sat proudly on his left shoulder, while an Alaskan state flag patch graced the other. A custom patch reading "Wonderland Express" was stitched over his breast pocket, while the opposite side had "Wally" embroidered in bold letters. “I’m good, thanks, Wally” Anders replied, stepping inside. #SciFiDebut #SpecFicDebut
